You can opt to not receive a grade. In this case, you do not have to sit for the final exam. Nevertheless, to receive a certificate that you have completed the course you must attempt the quizzes and assignments and receive passing marks in them.

If you do not fulfil the requirements mentioned above, you will receive a certificate stating only that you have audited the course.

The course consists of 15 modules. Each will be followed by a short online quiz.

There will be 4 assignments during the course, at intervals of 3-4 weeks. Their solutions will be submitted online.

The final exam shall be conducted at various centers in India, including the five major cities. (Other centers may be created, depending on enrolment patterns.) Provision for an online test shall be made for students residing outside India.

The final exam shall be conducted on December 7, 2008. You can also opt to sit for the exam at an alternate date in June 2009.
